Senior Championship
Castledaly  3-10 Caulry 08
Castledaly's Championship adventure continues with a deserved victory over near neighbours Caulry that required another much improved second half performance to secure the win and see the men in Gold and Green secure four wins from five matches.  A first half clearance from Alan Stone to Liam Fitzpatrick followed by a precise long ball pass allowed Paul Kelly to punch the ball over the approaching goalkeeper.  Caulry missed several chances under pressure from Castledaly defenders while at the other end Lorcan Dolan added a free kick for foul on P Holloway, while McLoughlin added one for foul on David Stone.  Brendan Kelly scored a smartly taken snap shot over the bar from distance, while Alan Stone added a 45 yard free as Castledaly's Enda Kelly, MJ Kelly, Liam Fitzpatrick, Shane Fitzpatrick and John Warburton kept close tabs on their opposite numbers, giving little space to exploit.

In the second half Lorcan Dolan scored another free kick  and from the kick out David Stone stole back possession, exchanged passes with Paul Kelly and Stone expertly curled his shot past the Caulry goalkeeper.  Fergal Hynes subbed in for injured Gordon Duffy and his exchanged passes with Patrick Holloway set the Westmeath county senior through for a well taken point.

Niall Duffy and MJ McLoughlin set Paul Kelly free to add another point from play before the lead was stretched to three goals as Patrick Holloway finished off a Brendan Kelly effort.
With David Stone MJ McLoughlin and Lorcan Dolan supporting defence as required, wing back MJ Kelly took a chance to score a well taken point in the opposite end.

Eamon Fleming subbed for Niall Duffy and exchanged passes with David Stone and MJ McLoughlin to play Paul Kelly in for another point.  Paul Kelly won another free kick - dispatched effectively by MJ McLoughlin before Castledaly introduced subs Paddy Golden for Eanna Duffy and Adrian Kelly for a superb Shane Fitzpatrick.  The referee produced a red card to reduce Caulry to 14 men as Paul Kelly was again fouled before significantly, Paul Kelly added Castledaly's final score bringing final score to 3-10 to Caulry's 08 points in a hard earned victory.
