Castledaly 2-13 Bunbrosna 1-08
Castledaly's Championship journey continues after a full hearted and determined victory against a quality Bunbrosna team.
Bunbrosna shaded the first half by the minimum with half time scores at 1-06 1-05 as Castledaly struggled to capitalise on Paul Kelly's first minute goal advantage. Bun took the lead with a well taken goal and three points unanswered, while Lorcan Dolan saw a goal chance saved.
In the second half Dolan blasted Castledaly back into the game with a vengeance with a well taken goal as Castledaly forwards continued to find space, create chances and add points from Brendan Kelly, Paul Kelly, McLoughlin, Alan Stone, and Dolan.
As the final whistle beckoned, Castledaly good work claimed a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-08, and underline the quality Castledaly possess in the forward line, while their defence can claim plaudits for preventing opposition from scoring for most of the second half.
No motivation will be required to face neighbours Caulry in the next match on Friday 7pm in Tang. As local derby matches go, this encounter has a history of its own and will be a great talking point in the few days inbetween.
Well done to John Donnellan and Denis Fannin and their squad on their work so far - there are no easy matches in the Senior championship so increased efforts are required going forward to ensure the hard word does not go unrewarded. Good luck to all. #CáisleanUiDhálaighAbú
