Hard Luck.

Hard luck to the Westmeath Senior footballers who lost out to Fermanagh in the football qualifiers last Saturday afternoon in Breffni Park, Cavan.

Westmeath Junior Championship round 4.

It was a share of the spoils on a wet night in Cusack Park last Sunday where St. Pauls and local rivals Delvin played out a 0-11 to 1-8 draw in an entertaining contest played in front of a large crowd. Next up for St. Pauls is a Round 5 clash with St. Josephs next Friday evening in Lakepoint Park, Mullingar. Throw-in is at 8pm.

The St. Pauls team that lined out on the night was: Ollie Mulvaney, Ronnie Higgins, Ross Daly, Conor Buckley, Paddy Reilly, Johnny Fitzpatrick, Ciaran O'Connell, David Whelehan, Conor Slater, Conor Shaw, Ronan Kiernan, Jamie Fitzsimons, Mickey Travers, Kenny Higgins, Niall Leonard. St. Pauls Juvenile Football.

Well done to our U-10 boys football team who competed in a Blitz held in Castletown Finea last week beating Inny Shamrocks, Delvin and Ballycomoyle. Training continues this Tuesday night for U-8's and U-12's in Clonmellon at 6:30pm.

St. Ernan's Juvenile Football.

Well done to our under 14 footballers who recorded a 7 point win against Ballycomoyle last Sunday morning. Next up for our U-14's is a round 3 Championship clash with Shannon Gaels (Tubberclair) on Thursday 30th July at 7:30pm in Delvin.

Ladies Football

Ladies Junior Championship: St. Pauls 3-8 Moate 3-10.

Major commiserations must go out to our gallant Delvin/St. Pauls ladies team who narrowly lost out to Moate in a Junior championship encounter on Tuesday night last on a sun drenched Clonmellon pitch. In front of a sizeable home crowd the home team came agonizingly close to bookings themselves a semi-final spot and no doubt Moate would have felt very lucky on their long journey home with the win - it could have been so different if a somewhat dubious Moate goal had been disallowed. The Delvin/St. Pauls girls and their mentors can feel proud with how far this team has come in a short few months and no doubt bigger and better things await them in the future. So hard luck on the day girls, ye made people stand up and take notice of the quality of football the Clonmellon - Delvin area has to offer. The team that togged out against Moate on the night was as follows: Amy Byrne, Niamh Shaw, Aine Shaw, Eimer Rice, Hannah Ivory, Ciara dolan, Caoilann Clancy, Karen Larkin, Olivia Kellaghan, Aoife Burke, Megan Dolan, Robyn Perry, Ciara o'Neill, Ann Marie Moore and Eilish Shaw. Subs: Alana cannon, Aoife Sherwin, Kerry Hickey, Deirdre Shaw, Aoife Leavy, Elaine Wilson.

Well done again to all involved and to coaches Ann Ivory & Eugene Dolan from all at St. Pauls GFC.

St. Pauls Summer Camp

The St. Paul's Kids football Summer camp is currently running for the months of July & August, every Tuesday & Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon. Kids will learn the basic skills of Gaelic Football from fully qualified coaches in a safe and fun filled environment and all for just 1 euro per child per day. The club will be supplying teas & coffees on a "help yourself" basis to any parents/guardians/child minders who want to stay around for the 2 hours. The club would also like to remind the parents/guardians/child minders of any children 4 years old and below that they must stay at the pitch for the duration of the 2 hours.  A big thanks to the coaches who are giving up their time to support the camp.

Congratulations.

Congratulations to our underage mentor Ray Flynn who celebrated his 40th birthday recently.
