Moate All Whites GAA club notes

July 27, 2015

Commiserations to the Westmeath Senior football team on their exit from the 2015 football Championship.  While the last few weeks have been disappointing, it's still been a great year with the victory over Meath being the high point.  At club level this means we are back to business and Moate play Ballynacargy in the second round of the Intermediate football championship on Sunday in Rosemount at 7.30.  This is a critical match for Moate so please come out and support Paul and the boys.

In underage football our Minors completed a clean sweep of victories when finishing top of Div 2 after defeating Millmore Gaels.  The hard work was done in the first half after which we led on a score of 1-8 to 2-2 having played against a strong breeze.  The lads built on this in the second half to run out winners on a score of 5-15 to 3-9.The championship starts shortly where we will be competing in Div 1.  Well done to all so far.  Panel; D Byrne,W Higgins,J Fannin,G Kelly,J Kane,A Gorman,P Gorman,D Ennis,C Ennis,C Corcoran,P Sheridan,A,O Neill,R Forde,B Berry,S Coyne,D Mullins,D Corbally,J Bracken,J Murphy,C Claffey.

On Wednesday evening Westmeath U16's play Kildare in the Fr Manning Cup final in Pearse Park at 7.15.  The club would like to wish our three representatives Paul Gorman, David Mullins and James Bracken the best of Luck in the Final.

Finally we would like all members and friends to put a date in their calendar for the Moate All Whites Golf Classic.  It takes place in Moate Golf Club on August 8th.  We will run a fundraiser on the day for the Mater Heart Appeal.  It's €120 for a team of four.  Contact Jimmy Bradley on 085 1742051 to book your team in.  It was a fantastic day last year so please come out and support.
