GAA Lotto Draw Sunday 12th July at Fitzgerald's Lounge Castledaly with new jackpot of 11,400 Euro.

Castledaly Seniors produced a blistering start that the home team struggled with in early part of first half.  Scores from Brendan Kelly Paul Costello Niall Duffy Lorcan Dolan David Stone MJ Kelly and a penalty scored by MJ McLoughlin for a foul on Stone. Gordon Duffy and Niall Duffy held strong midfield presence with support from Eamon Fleming and Paul Costello.  in defence Derek Heavin MJ Kelly Shane Dolan Shane Fitzpatrick Darragh Kelly were kept busy but intercepted several Milltownpass attack while Brendan Kelly and Lorcan Dolan maintained success in their free kick duties.
Castledaly keeper Eanna Duffy was alert as he collected several Milltownpass shot efforts and the home team trailed by 01 to 1-10 before they found their stride; adding 4 points in rapid succession and narrowly missed a fifth as the half time whistle beckoned. Castledaly scored first in the second half through Brendan Kelly before Derek Heavin set David Stone up for another. MJ Kelly Lorcan Dolan Derek Heavin Paul Kelly added scores for Castledaly while Milltownpass continued to test John Warburton Shane Fitzpatrick Shane Dolan, Derek Heavin, MJ Kelly, Darragh Kelly - requiring them to clear danger time and again.

Tidy Towns competition judging takes place in weeks ahead and everyone is asked to do their part for their local community by tidying around where they can.  Castledaly Development Committee have been continuing their hard work tidying public areas around Castledaly community and maintain it as a beautiful attraction for residents and travelling tourists alike.
