ACFL D2 St. Marys vs Tang
St.Marys made the trip to tang  to take the on in this eagerly awaited league game. St.Marys started the strongest in the first stages of this game with the opening scores.Tang didnt wait to long to come in to the game either and replyied with scores of there own.We were been treated to a great game of football with both sides showing great potental throughout the half cancelling each other out.Tang eventually took the game by the scruff and scores two goals in quick succession to take nice lead but St.Marys to there credit never dropped there heads and got a few scores on the board too.Tang went in 8 points ahead and it was to be a big second half for ourselves. The second half started and st.marys came out of the traps like rockets and really started working extremly hard and getting some fine well worked scores and brought the margin down to 1 point after some brilliant play. Both teams got a goal to cancel each other out in the second half with st.marys outscoreing tang in the second half but it just wasnt enough, final score     Tang 3-13 - st.marys 1-16.

Minor league
Minor league last night ,st.marys entertained Mullingar shamrocks last night in Rochfortbridge old field,st.marys started strong and were getting on a lot of ball in the first half and showing a lot of passion going forward also.we were dominating on the field but just not taking the chances and we were ahead at the break by two after shamrocks came back close to the break, the second half was much the same with st.marys moving very well and converting alot of points but it was shamrocks that found the net and won by two points in the end.keep it going lads,it's early days yet and lots of football to be played.naomh mhuire Abu

U12  league
St.marys welcomed Inny Gaels (Ballinacargy) to Rochfortbridge last wednesday night for phase 2 of the league. After having a decent phase 1 earlier in the year the lads really wanted to continue this form.St.Marys really hit the ground running in early on and were in control from the word go.Our lads used the full of the pitch to sread the ball around and really were popping over scores from all angles.Inny to there credit kept in the game with some brilliant scores of there own and were putting it up to St.Marys in the first half but we withstood the pressure and kept working on our own game and putting on pressure on every kickout. The second half The lads themselves knew they had more in the st.marys tank and after a qick chat and a few swithes the second half got underway and thats were we seen the lads really take control and the lads worked the channels well and brought some of the younger players into the game and all the lads really stood up.from brilliant defending to excellent fielding and  blocking down and brilliant attacking and scoring st.marys ran out easy winners in this game 7 -19 - 1-09,(thanks to dermot judge for the brilliant refereeing on the night).

U11 league
St.marys entertained moate in the opening game in this league. This was an oppurtunity to give some of our younger players there game and the start.Moate started the strongest and we replied ourselves with some scores. This was a great game of football between these two teams and we seen some great indivual play and some great team work.St .Marys gave everything but we were just upainst a well drilled moate side and they came out winners in the end.
