BE A PART OF JORISTOWN

Raharney Hurling Club is delighted to announce our new "BE A PART OF JORISTOWN" scheme. The scheme will allow our members and patrons the opportunity to have their family name linked with Joristown Park for evermore.

How does it work?

The Club is selling "Metal Plates" which will carry an inscription of your family name and address and which in turn will then be fixed permanently to the fence, which surrounds the pitch in Joristown Park. There will be three price categories available, €70, €80 and €100. Allocation of positions of each plate will be on a first come first served basis. A sample of the plate and pitch allocations/prices is available to view in Declan Weir's shop in Raharney village and on our Facebook Page. Orders for the plates can be placed with Declan or any Committee member.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to show their support of our local Hurling Club, not just for now but for always!

HURL AND HELMET COLLECTION

One of the main community functions of the Club is to provide training/coaching in a large number of schools in our local and wider area. The Club's aim in doing so is to introduce as many young people to our games and in doing so secure the long-term future of our Club. However one of the main obstacles to introducing young kids to our game is the cost involved for parents towards new Hurls & Helmets, especially when they are not sure if their child will continue to play the game long term. To this end the Club are sending out an appeal to anyone who may have any old/2nd hand Hurls or Helmets lying around and which they would like to donate to the Club. In doing so you could help us greatly in encouraging young kids to become more involved in our game long-term. If anyone has any old/2nd hand Hurls Helmets that they would like to donate to the Club you can leave them with Declan Weir in Weir's shop in the village. Thanking you in advance.

NEW CLUB WALKING TRACK

Club membership is now available for our new walking track, in Joristown. Annual Membership is €20 and can be paid to any Club Committee member or you may pay to Declan Weir in Weir's Shop. Use of the walking track is strictly for members only and membership must be paid for insurance purposes.
