Division 1
St Lomans Mullingar 3.18 Maryland 1.08
St Lomans hosted Maryland in the penultimate round of the Division 1 league on Sunday morning last.  The sunny conditions made it easy for a free flowing game of football and the blues certainly had their shooting boots on!
David Whelan, Garrett Hickey, Ken Casey and Ciaran Kilmurray all pointed in the opening seven minutes to give St Lomans the lead with Casey's score a magnificent effort from an acute angle. The half forwards of Conradh Reilly and David Windsor both were involved in each of these opening points and Reilly was also denied a goal when his shot rattled the crossbar after a wonderful move set up by Gary Glennon.
Maryland were held to just four points in the opening half as St Lomans defended excellently throughout with Jason O Toole in particular leading the line. Adam Gaffney was a commanding figure in midfield as he broke many of the kick outs to set up St Lomans attacks. David Windsor(2), Conradh Reilly and Ken Casey added points but 1.03 from Garrett Hickey ensured a strong lead at the interval for St Lomans with the goal a neat finish to the bottom corner of the net.
David Whelan whose constant runs out of defence made him unmarkable at times opened the scoring of the second half with a point and it wasn't long before another run saw him add to his tally.  Conradh Reilly added three more points before Maryland hit a purple patch and registered a goal and three points. A wonderful double save from Goalkeeper Jason Daly denied them a second goal.  St Lomans finished the game strongly and substitutes Conor Cochrane and Cormac Corroon both raised the green flag in the closing stages.

Division 3
St Lomans Mullingar 1.07 Kilbeggan Shamrocks 4.17
St Lomans were over powered by a strong Kilbeggan side in the Division 3 league on Saturday evening last.  Joe Doherty opened the scoring with a goal but it was predominately one way traffic in the first half in favour of Kilbeggan. The Fennell brothers caused havoc in a spell that saw the visitors register 2.08 without reply with David Fennell getting the goals. Garrett Hickey(3) and Cormac Corroon added points before the break to reduce the deficit.
The second half mirrored the first and Kilbeggan quickly put the game beyond doubt with two goals in the opening ten minutes of the half. Gerry Farrell and Paraic Mc Comb got their names on the score sheet but it was Kilbeggan who finished convincing winners.

Ladies Championship
St Lomans Mullingar 6.14 Mullingar Shamrocks 0.09
St Lomans ladies booked their place in the championship semi final after a clinical display against neighbours Mullingar Shamrocks on Thursday evening last.
St Lomans raced out of the traps and set down an early marker when Leona Archibold finished to the net from a Ciara Blundell pass. Bridgie Heslin and Ciara Blundell also kicked points while Lucy Mc Cartan registered 1.01 in a dominant opening quarter for St Lomans.
Shamrocks got off the mark with three points but these scores were quickly cancelled out with scores from St Lomans. Bridgie Heslin was deadly accurate from placed balls including a point from the 45m line. Muireann Scally added a point before Ciara Blundell once again set up Leona Archibold for her second goal that ensured a strong half time lead for St Lomans.
St Lomans put the game beyond doubt early in the second half when Ciara Blundell was rewarded for her hard working display with a goal of her own. The home side tried to get a way back into the game but were up against top class defending from St Lomans and were stopped by a blue shirt in most attacks. Sheila Kelly and Muireann Scally both put in tireless displays at midfield.  Bridgie Heslin added two goals in the closing stages as St Lomans finished comfortable winners.
Team; Clare Coyne, Amy Newman, Catie Heslin, Aileen Martin, Sandra Mc Grath, Rebecca Dunne, Julie Mc Loughlin, Sheila Kelly, Muireann Scally(0.01), Clara Thornton, Leona Archibold(2.06,1f), Ciara Blundell(1.02), Sarah Mc Manus, Bridgie Heslin(2.04,2f), Lucy Mc Carton(1.01). Minor League
St Lomans Minors continued their winning streak when they travelled to Ballinagore on Wednesday evening last to play Lilliput Gaels. It was a keenly contested first half with James Cox, Eoin Fox and Jonathon Nugent all kicking points. It looked as if the home side would have a half time lead but a free from James Cox dropped to the net to give the blues a narrow advantage at the break.
A wonderful second half display sealed the win for St Lomans with goals from Fola Ayorinde and Glen Gilchrist doing the damage. The score of the game came when a wonderful pass from Daniel Gilleran set up a James Cox point. The blues defence put in a solid display throughout while Fola Ayorinde and Chris Gilbert made sure there was plenty of supply for the forwards. Eoin Fox and Jonathon Nugent added points to seal a 3-10 to 1-06 win for St Lomans.
