Moate would like to congratulate Tom Cribben and the heroic Westmeath team on their incredible victory over Meath in Croke Park on Sunday last.  Bring on the Dubs.  In adult football our B team played St Josephs over the weekend and lost on a score of 2-12 to 1-10.

In underage football our Minor team had two great wins last week.  On Monday evening we beat St Marys Rochfortbridge on a score of 3-11 to 2-08 and later in the week we overcame Castletown Finea Coole Whitehall in a fantastic match by a score of 1-19 to 3-11.  Moate were missing 3 of our best players but it didn't deter us from coming out on top.  Best for moate were Andrew Gorman, Conor Claffey, Paul Gorman, Dillon Ennis, Ciaran Ennis, David Mullins and Billy Berry.  Moate would also like to thank the temporary coaches Darren Mc Ardle and Ronan Conway for stepping in to help out in the absence of some of the Minor mentors.

The club would like to congratulate Paul Gorman, David Mullins and James Bracken on making the county under sixteen panel. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our Lotto sales outside Supervalue every Saturday morning. The jackpot this week is €6,400.  The club would also like to reiterate that we are still accepting clothes donations to help fund our minor board.  Clothes bags can be left into the clubhouse.  Finally we would like all members and friends to put a date in their calendar for the Moall All Whites Golf Classic.  It takes place in Moate Golf Club on August 8th.  It was a fantastic day last year so please come out and support.
