Westmeath minor manager Johnny Greville has stressed that they are targeting a place in the Leinster minor hurling championship final.
The Midlanders got their campaign off to a winning start last weekend when they easily disposed of Wicklow and they will now meet Carlow in the next round.
This squad has worked closely together for a number of years now and Greville was adamant that unless you aim for the highest level, you have never any hope of reaching there.
"I'm a big believer that you set your targets to the highest level. My target, and the group's target, is the Leinster final," Greville told the Westmeath Examiner.
"If you don't set your bar high, you'll never reach it. I believe we can achieve it if we get a run at it and get a bit of luck.
"The lads are off to their clubs next weekend and we won't be able to prepare that weekend, but at the end of the day, the clubs are the heart and soul of the county."
