Tang 2-8
Shandonagh 1-4

Tang continued their good league form with an impressive away win against Shandonagh last Sunday evening.

The first half was a low scoring affair with both sides struggling to break each other down. Shandonagh opened the scoring with a well taken point however it wasn't long before Tang responded with Aidan Burke curling over a free from an acute angle. Aidan followed this up with another point before Niall Bannon's excellent pass found Martin Rock sneaking in behind the Shandonagh defence and Martin finished expertly to the net. Shandonagh could only respond with a point thanks to some great defending from Kieran Duncan and Conor Marlow. Martin Rock finished off the first half scoring with another point after a strong run forward from Robert English. The half time score saw Tang lead by 1-3 to 0-2.

Shandonagh started the second half quickly looking to reel Tang back in and kicked a nice 45 however Tang began to assert their dominance and Marin Rock soon curled over a fine point. Tang took a commanding lead soon after when John Rock put Aidan Burke through on goal and he duly dispatched the ball to the net. Tang didn't relent and further points from Martin Rock and Aidan Burke gave them a commanding lead. With Dean Reddin and Chris Connor in fine form in defence Shandonagh could only respond with a point. Two more points from Aidan Burke capped a fine Tang performance before Shandonagh grabbed a late consolation goal.

Overall this was fine performance from Tang, particularly in the second half to pull away from Shandonagh when scores seemed hard to come by.
