Westmeath camogie notes

All Ireland Minor C Championship
Hard luck to the Minors who travelled to Four Roads on Saturday last to take on Roscommon in round 2 of the championship.  Played in extremely wet and windy conditions, Roscommon went in ahead at half time.  Westmeath had the wind in the second half and pressed hard but the scores just wouldn't come and at the final whistle the score was Roscommon 3-6 Westmeath 1-2.

Team & Scorers: Shauna Coughlan, Rachel Maloney, Kelly Dobson (0-1f), Saoirse McGrath, Meghan Carroll, Karen Gaffney, Rachel McNamara, Emma Broughan (0-1), Emma Reid, Olivia Kelleghan, Katie Heffernan, Laura Doherty, Anna Weir, Ruth Fitzsimons (1-0), Anna O'Farrell. Subs: Aoife Kearney for Anna O'Farrell, April Flanagan for Ruth Fitzsimons.

The team now have a break with their next game at home v Carlow on 29th March.
