Shandonagh club notes

March 02, 2015

REGISTRATION DAY

We would like to remind everybody that the final registration day for existing underage and new underage members will take place on Saturday the 7th of March from 11.00am until 1.00pm. This will be the final opportunity to register.

Last Saturdays registration was well attended with a steady stream of new and not so new, egar sports boys and girls coming through the doors.

For people with young children who are new to our area this is a great way to get involved in the community and get to know your neighbours. The children will have fun in a safe environment and will learn new skills and make new friends. So please come along, and join us on the day. Our ethos is of inclusiveness and participation. We can have a chat over a cup of tea, meet the coaches and see if it is of interest to you and your family!

In 2014 our club fielded teams at all levels from under 8's to under 18's for both boys and girls. We competed in 3 county finals winning a Shield (under 14) and Cup (under 16) and were narrowly defeated  (1 point) in the minor county final.

This year the executive have reduced significantly the cost of membership this year as follows:

1 Child €30.00;
2 children €50.00;
Family membership €75.00;
Adult Player €50.00 and Adult non player €40.00.
It is hoped that these reduced prices will encourage greater uptake of membership. A list of fully paid up members will be available for inspection at the clubhouse.
