Scór na nÓg All Ireland Final
Our table quiz team of Finian Heeney, Fiachra Heeney, Robert Keegan and Shane Seery take part in the All Ireland Final of the table quiz in The Citywest Hotel, Dublin, on Saturday 14th February at 11.30am. We wish the lads all the very best and congratulate both them and their mentor, Shane Heraty, on their great achievement in getting to the finals.
Scór Sinsir
The county final of Scór Sinsir will take place on Saturday 21st February 2015 at 7.30pm. Anyone wishing to take part or organise participants for any of the competitions should contact the Scór Secretary, Shane Heraty on 087 7562462 as soon as possible.
Benefit Night
There will be a benefit night in The Well, Moate, on Friday 6th February in aid of Sandra and Pat Deegan and family, Ballinagore, whose home was destroyed by fire in November. Music on the night will be provided by the ever-popular and successful bands, Ruaile Buaile and The Woodbines. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets for the night are available and sellers are currently working in your local area. Alternatively you can contact Aoife Deegan (087 6540577), Ger Dalton (086 8362053) or Paul Seery (086 8318124) for tickets. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Membership
Membership for the year is now due. Costs remain unchanged at €20 for adults and €30 for family membership. Please remember that for insurance purposes, membership has to be paid before you can play in competitive fixtures and it's also required for use of the walking track. Please renew your membership to club registrar, Declan Claffey, over the next few weeks.
Birthday Wishes
We want to wish Shane Gannon a very happy 40th birthday. Shane celebrated his 40th birthday along with a huge turnout of family and friends last Saturday night.
It's a girl!
Congratulations to Robert and Edel Mizzell on the birth of their baby daughter.
Sympathy
The club extends its deepest sympathy to Franky Wright and family, Lilliput, on the death of his father, Sean Wright, Milltownpass. May he Rest in Peace.
CCÉ Fleadh Session Trail 2015
Castletown Geoghegan Comhaltas are hosting the Westmeath Fleadh this May and there will be a number of events leading up to the festival beginning with the a traditional music, song and dance session in The Bodhrán, Ballinagore this Friday night, 30th January. All are heartily welcome.
Table Quiz
Ballinagore Macra are hosting their annual Table Quiz this Saturday night, 31st January in The Bodhrán, Ballinagore. Quiz starts at 9.30pm. Table of 4 is €20 and there will be a raffle on the night.
National Club Draw
We want to thank everybody that supported the club in this draw recently and we do hope that we have a winner pulled out on the day of the draw which takes place at GAA Congress on February 27th.
Hard Luck Moate All Whites
Hard luck to Moate, Westmeaths proud representatives in the All Ireland JFC semi-final, who came up just short last Sunday against John Mitchel's of Liverpool. We wish their goalkeeper a speedy recovery from his injury.
