Meeting for all parents of Juvenile players

On Friday January 23rd last the club held a meeting to discuss all aspects of Juvenile football (for both girls and boys) for the upcoming year. St. Pauls GFC would like to thank those parents who showed up on the night. The main topic that was discussed on the night was the need for more people to help out with the various underage teams in the club.  Underage mentors were confirmed for the following year but as always more volunteers are needed. If you would like to help out with our underage teams in anyway please contact any committee member, contact us on facebook or just show up at the training sessions. Previous footballing knowledge or experience is not required and St Paul's can guarantee an enjoyable experience for all!

St. Pauls v's Moylagh.

On Sunday last a young St. Pauls got their 2015 season off to a winning start by beating Moylagh in a very sporting challenge match on a score line of 4-11 to 1-6 at the pitch in Clonmellon. The spirit and ability that was shown by this young St. Pauls team, who were missing a numbers of players due to county and other various commitments, was encouraging and the win sets the team up nicely going forward for the year ahead.  The team lined out as follows: Oliver Mulvaney, Gary Daly, Robert Dugdale, Lee o' Farrell, Ross Daly, David Dolan, Kenny Higgins, Johnny Fitzpatrick, David Whelahan, Conor Rice, Johnny McGuinness, Ciaran O'Connell, James Moore, Conor Slator, Niall Leonard. Subs: Mickey Tighe, Ronny Higgins, Owen Reilly, Jack Carpenter. Notable players on the day included Conor Slator and Niall Leonard who scored 1-3 and 2-2 respectively.

St. Pauls GFC would like to thank the Moylagh players and mentors for travelling up to Clonmellon for this fixture and wish them well for the coming year.
