AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Lough Lene Gaels took place in Collinstown Hall last Saturday evening, December 6. The meeting was presided over by outgoing Chairman David O'Rourke. The weather did not deter a very decent attendance and it was great to see familiar faces from the  underage, current adult players and past players.
Reports from the outgoing Secretary, Treasurer's and Chairman was tabled to the floor and useful discussions were conducted on numerous issues. The outgoing Chairman informed the audience he would not be going forward for 2015 and wished the club and officers the best for 2015.
The Election of Officers was then conducted and the new officers of Lough Lene Gaels for 2015 are as follows:
Chairman: Joe Potter
Vice-Chairman: Brendan Higgins
Joint-Secretary: Eamonn Potter and Ciaran Williams
Assistant Secretary: Damien Conaty, Brian Caffrey and John Dermody
Treasurer's: Pat Keane, Paul Isdell, Sean Carr
Registrar: Christo Murtagh
Assistant Registrar: David Cunningham, Joey Williams, John Kennedy, Fergal Moran
Full Members: Joey Williams, Paddy Egan, David O Rourke, John Fitzpatrick and Francis McDermott
PROs: David Kelly and Paul Hughes
Youth Officer/ Underage Chairman: Christo Murtagh
Alcohol and Substance Abuse Officer: David O Rourke
Development Officer: Ciaran Williams
County Committee, Hurling Committee and County Convention Delegates: Brian McCormack, Francis McDermott and Eamonn Potter
A number of motions were tabled to the floor for discussion and these were agreed as items the incoming executive would need to incorporate into plans for 2015.
Membership for 2015 was agreed as follows:
Adult €30, Youth €20, Family €50. Social Membership will no longer exist.
The Incoming Chairman, Joe Potter then addressed the meeting, thanking the members for his election and setting a positive mood for the Club to progress into 2015. 
With no other items raised, the David O'Rourke closed the meeting and wished all in attendance and the Incoming Officers of the Club a Happy Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year.

Lough Lene Gaels 2015 Calendars are now on sale on Conaty's Quick Pick and Carmel and Theresa Daybreak priced at €5 each.

Christmas 2014 Lotto Draw
All concerned are requested to please note that the Christmas 2014 lotto draw takes place next Sunday night December 14 in the Lough Lene Inn, Collinstown.  Part one of the Christmas 2014 lotto draw is for a jackpot of €4,200.  Part two of the Christmas 2014 lotto draw will then take place for a large number of Christmas style/fare prizes.  Purchasers of lotto tickets for part one of this Christmas 2014 lotto draw will be automatically entered into part two of this forthcoming event.  All support very welcomed.

Weekly Bingo
Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club both organises and hosts bingo on a weekly basis in Collinstown Hall every Tuesday night starting at 8.30pm.  The income from this weekly Tuesday night bingo is a vital, reliable and stable source of income for Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club.  €10,000 is the bingo jackpot on Tuesday night December 9.  The club very sincerely thanks its regular patrons for their great support of this Tuesday night bingo event.
