Moate All-Whites (Westmeath) 0-12

Ballon (Carlow) 0-5

Moate All-Whites will face Straffan in the Leinster club JFC final in a fortnight's time after they eased to a seven-point victory over Ballon at Hogan Park, Moate this afternoon.

Corner forward John Corbally scored 0-6, 0-4 from play, for the Westmeath champions who would have won by more had they not missed four goal chances in the first half. Corbally and Eoghan Dalton both hit the crossbar, while Gavin Murray and Corbally had shots saved by goalkeeper Paul Lyons and full back John Gittens.

Despite their wastefulness, the home side led by 0-7 to 0-3 at the break and outscored the visitors from Carlow by 0-5 to 0-2 in a second half which was marred by a late melee. Louth referee Stephen Murphy opted not to send anyone off.

Straffan of Kildare were impressive winners over Laois champions Courtwood in the other semi-final and will now travel to Cusack Park, Mullingar for the decider against Paul Conway's charges.
