St Marys Rochfortbridge club notes

October 28, 2014

Junior b football final
St.Marys vs Rosemount
Both these sides met in a very windy rochfortbridge.Rosemount started the strongest and had the aid of a very strong breeze in the first half.We seen some fine point taking from rosemount in the opening half and st.marys were really having to work hard in this half.st.marys to there credit kept going themselves in the first half and were only down by a few points at the break. The second half got going and it was nip and tuck throughout the half, we seensome very hard honest hits and some brilliant work rate but st.marys just werent using the aid of the wind enough and rosemount kept pinning us back at every opurtunity.credit st..marys they kept going to the final wistle and were 3 points down and a late chance in injury time nearlly got a goal but just sneaked above the crossbar for a point and rosemount won by 2 points in the end.great effort by our very young side and it will only make us stronger.
