Junior B Final

Rosemount 0-11
St Mary's Rochfordbridge 2-3
So, 2014 hasn't gone without some silverware. Our junior b championship win on Saturday last went in some way towards making up for our county final loss two weeks ago. A large number of supporters travelled the by-now familiar route to Rochfordbridge. Having played with a strong breeze in the opening half we were just a point to the good at the break 5 points to 1-1. However we upped our game in the second period. TJ Fox was very much to the fore in driving at the home defence generating scoring opportunities. Ahead by five, with ten minutes remaining, things were looking good, but the home side pulled a goal back to leave us with a nervy two point lead. A point apiece in the dying seconds gave a well deserved two point win.
Team: Darren O'Connell, Damien Carroll, Eamon Boland, Dylan Hassett, Paddy Keenan, Darren King, Boidu Sayeh, TJ. Fox(0-2), Andy McCormack, Daniel Boland, Cathal Daly(0-3), David Malynn, Danny Fielding(0-2), Paddy McCormack, Johnny Keenan(0-3). Subs used: Damien Boland for D. Hassett, Aaron Farrell for Daniel Boland, Stephen Darcy for P. Keenan, Dan Digan for D. Fielding, Richie O'Brien(0-1) for P. McCormack, Paddy Malynn for J. Keenan.

With an under16 final and possibly an Intermediate cup competition left to play, the curtains are almost drawn on 2014. We want to thank in a special way, our sponsors and those volunteers who help to keep our finances ticking over, without them the club would not survive.
