UNDER 16 FOOTBALL FINAL
Our under 16 boys are expected to take to the field next weekend in their division 1 15 a side football final against Rosemount. The venue, time and date of this game have yet to be finalised. Keep an eye on your texts and the Shandonagh GAA Facebook page for up to date information. Best of luck boys and let's hope you can go one better than the minors.
MINOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP RESULT
The Downs 1-12 Shandonagh 2-8
For a full report on the game see elsewhere in the paper. Suffice to say that whilst the one point defeat was heartbreaking, our poor shooting in the first half and failure to cope with the strong wind blowing predominantly in our favour proved to be the making of our eventual demise. Our boys have shown tremendous heart and courage throughout this campaign and they have provided our community, our club, their families and friends with some wonderful moments to remember the 2014 season by. The have done us proud. Thank you.
UNDER 14 BOYS RESULT
Our under 14s played against a very determined Downs team last Saturday in Shandonagh in the division 2 Shield Semi final. The game finished Shandonagh 5-6 The Downs 2-5. This was an outstanding team peformance from the Shandonagh lads and sets us up nicely for the shield final against Killbeggan / St. Joseph's. Best of luck to the lads in the final. We hope they can bring home some silverware.
