Minor Semi Final Report
We played Mullingar Shamrocks in Shandonagh, in the Minor Division 2 semi final on Sunday last.
It was a beautiful morning for football, and conditions were perfect. The large crowd
of supporters were treated to a cracking game, with both sides playing fast open
football. As this was a replay there wasn't going to be a lot between the sides, as
even after extra time last week they couldn't be seperated.
The first half was evenly contested with both sides have spells of dominance, we took
a four point lead into the half time break, Milltownpass 1-06, Mullingar 0-5

Mullingar exploded into the second half and scored five points in as many minutes.
They continued adding pressure and scored a goal. Things looked bad for us, but the lads refused to give up. They kept chipping away at the lead with  some well taken
points and with 3 minutes to go the sides were all square again, with extra time  looking
likely (again). But Finbar Coyne scored a vital goal with time nearly up, and the team
held on for a well deserved Victory. The final score was Milltownpass 2-11, Mullingar 1-11

We  play St Marys Rochfordbridge in the final on Sunday 19th in Cusack Park @ 1.30pm and all
support would be greatly appreciated
