Jim McHugh Memorial Tournament
Our U12 footballers played Maryland/Tang last Wednesday evening in Ballinagore. On the evening, our opponents were too strong and ran out convincing winners after an entertaining game. We play Caulry in our next game in this tournament on Saturday evening in Mount Temple.
School Centenary
Ballinagore was a hive of activity last weekend as the school celebrated its centenary in fine style and lovely weather. Huge crowds turned up on Sunday to enjoy what was a very well organised event. One of the main attractions was the launch of the book, From the Ink Well to the Net, and it certainly had everybody talking as it turned out to be a beautiful production, full of photographs, stories and memories. The school itself looked resplendant in the sunshine and everybody was well catered for during the afternoons celebrations. Well done to everyone involved that helped to make the day such a wonderful success.
Sympathy
We offer our sympathy to the Dalton family on the death of Betty Dalton. We also offer our sympathy to the family and friends of Fr. Joe Brilley who passed away recently. May they Rest in Peace.
Speedy Recovery
We want to wish James Sheerin a quick return to action and full health following his shoulder surgery. James demonstrated great team spirit and determination and played through the pain barrier in a number of games this year.
