Seamus 'Banty' McEnaney and Niall Carew are among the nominations for the vacant Westmeath senior football manager's position.
Former Monaghan and Meath boss McEnaney is the most high-profile name put forward by the clubs, while Kildare man Carew - who recently stepped down as Waterford manager - has also been nominated.
The other nominations received to date by the county board are former Galway star and manager Val Daly, Mullingar Shamrocks stalwart and current Na Fianna (Meath) supremo Ned Moore, St. Malachy's manager Peter Leahy, former Maryland and Athlone boss Finbarr Egan and Ray Smyth, who managed both the The Downs and Mullingar Shamrocks to Westmeath SFC titles in the past decade.
Interviews will be conducted in the next fortnight with an appointment expected at the October meeting of the county board.
