St.Marys vs Moate
St.Marys travelled to moate last wednesday night in the league.Conditions on the night were wet. Both sides started well and we seen some great play from our lads in the first half.Moate were first to take the lead and St.Marys followed that up with a score themselves.Alot of rain was coming down by now but we seen some great fielding and some fine individual play also.At the break moate were a few points in front and they had the wind in the second half. The second half started and moate really took control of the game will some fine scores and St.Marys to there credit kept going and The moate keeper pulled off some fine saves. It was moate that prevailed winners on the night.

u16 Championship
St.Marys vs Athlone
This game was in Rochfortbridge last monday and This was going to be a deciding battle to see who could continue in d1 or drop to d 2 championship.
St.Marys were first out of the blocks with a fine score from Enda Cully. Both sides were putting pressure on in the first half and we seen some beatiful scores from both sides. From the home side we seen goals from Jamie rooney and points from Matthew bradley and Francis duffy. At the break both sides went in 2-5 - 2-5.The second half started and Athlone came out of the blocks like trains and scored the first 5 points and credit our lads they kept going withscores of there own,one lovely score was a great individual play from Francis Duffy and then a well measured pass to Mattew bradley and then he stuck it over the bar.St.Marys kept going with more points and a few goals but Athlone were no different as they were getting there fair share of scores from the game.In the end Athlone were to finish the stronger on a scoreline of St.Marys 3-10 Athlone 5-12.

u14 Championship
St.Marys vs Inny Shamrocks
St.Marys made the trip to bunbrosna to play Inny Shamrocks Last thursday.Inny were first to put the scores on the board in this game. They really started off so well with some lovely scores and were playing so so well, but credit to St.Marys they really battled the whole way through with some lovely scores of there own.we seen some brilliant defending from St.Marys also and some lovely scores throughout but really this game was over at half time as St.Marys were really up against a far stronger team.To me lookin at this game of division 4 football it was plain to see Inny Shamrocks were a team totally in the wrong division. If our young teams are to prevail in future games these divisons are going to have to be looked at.not a good night but well done lads, keep up the hard work
St.Mary 4-5 Inny shamrocks 7 -19

St.Marys made the trip to kinnegad for this competition. We went up against very good moate teams and shandonagh teams. We done alot of hard work in these games and won both games and went up against St.Lomans in the semi final and really put it up to them in this game but St.Lomans won the game and went on to win the final. But this was an experimental competition and our lads showed some great character in this .well done lads.
