St.Marys vs Milltownpass
This game got underway in cusack park and in glorious sunshine. Both teams were well up for this game and it was going to be a battle right from the start.St.Marys were first on the scoreboard with a free from the boot of kieran gearthy.Milltownpass came forward at pace shorthly after and Andy devine struck a shot at the St.Marys goal but the bridge goalkeeper Tommy Byrne was on hand to save at point blank range. Both teams kept pilling on the pressure and we seen scores from both sides in this half. Then 18 mins in we seen St.Marys come forward and the ball was passed to the ever ready Robbie Kenny and he stuck a shot to the top corner of the net, best goal this year to be scored in the park this year by far.Teams went in at half time with milltownpass up 1-8 to 1-3.the second half was much the same ,we seen some great field by damien gavin in the middle of the field.unfortunatly milltownpass were getting the breaks and winning the dirty ball and they ran out winners 1.12 -1.07 in the end.

St.Marys vs Balinacargy
St.Marys travelled to ballinacargy to play this return fixture. This was a good battle the first day and we expected no different this time around.St.Marys really got going from the start and put in a brilliant effort from the work go.The fielding in the middle of the park was superb as usual and we wen some beatiful link up play with the forwards who were always tormenting the ballinacargy defenders.St.Marys got the lead in the first half and that lead was kept the whole way through.ballinacargy came back in the second half but the st.marys defenders were on there toes to keep them back and we seen some great goalkeeping in the bridge goal also.St.Marys ran out winners in the end, this lads are putting in some effort this year and the scores are refecting that too.keep up the hard work lads.
