Maryland GAA club notes

Championship vs. Mullingar Shamrocks
On Sunday evening last we took on Mullingar Shamrocks in our second outing if this years championship. We got off to a bad start conceding within the first 2 minutes, we replied with a point from Kieran a minute later. We created some good moves in the first half and possibly could have got the goal we were looking for. Keith Malynn and John Reilly both had chances well stopped. We got 4 more points in the first half with another from Kieran, 2 from David Martin and David Reynolds getting a point in the last minute of the half. W started the second half strong with scores from Ronan Moran and David Martin. We went 15 minutes before we got on the scoreboard again through Kieran. David Martin got 2 points in the last 2 minutes to leave the score at 1-11 to 10 in favour of Mullingar. Looking back on the game we were left to rue our missed opportunities. Lets hope our lads can rebuild for our next match on Sunday coming against the Downs.

Great day in Croke Park on Tuesday 15th July with Maryland-Tang Underage Gaa under 8 team. All the kids got an opportunity to see the dressing rooms, players tunnel and got to play a game in front of the Hill. Everyone had a really enjoyable day thanks to Leinster GAA.
