Multyfarnham GAA Notes

July 14, 2014
Junior Team
The next round of the Junior Championship is down for next Saturday. Multyfarnham are out against St Josephs in what is a very important game for the club. We are asking for a big turnout of support to travel down to Milltown at 7.30 on Saturday 19th. This is a make or break game for the club and the team will need all the support they can get.
Underage
The minors had a good turnout last Sunday against Inny Shamrocks and managed to put in a decent performance against a team representing clubs from senior and intermediate levels. The lads played some exciting and thrilling football after a nervy opening which had seen them go in at halftime behind on the scoreboard. A stern team talk and a re-evaluation of tactics saw the Maroon and White team burst out of the starter blocks for the second half, to claim a fairly decisive win. A few more games are left to play in the league and the championship is just around the corner for the lads. All players are asked to attend minor training Mondays at 7pm and also to attend Junior team training Wednesdays and Fridays.
Under 12's
The Under 12 team are out against Inny Shamrocks on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm everyone is asked to meet in Multy at 7pm. If there is an issue please contact Paddy Wallace.
Foundation Level Coaching Certificate.
The club would like to thank everybody who turned out for the recent coaching course which took place in the community centre. The tutor on the day was James Heffernan, a coaching and games development officer with the county board, and the club would like to thank him also for his time and perseverance. All the coaches were put through their paces very sharply in what was an enjoyable and fun day. The club would also like to thank Noel Delaney and the county board for organising to hold the course in Multyfarnham.
