SENIOR LEAGUE
TYRRELLSPASS Senior team suffered another Division 1 league defeat to Mullingar Shamrocks last Tuesday evening. Despite being short a number of senior players Tyrrellspass played well and could have got something out of this game. The first half was a close affair with both sides missing a number of chances but Mullingar went in leading 7 points to 5. Tyrrellspass started the brighter in the second half and took the lead with a point from Conor Slevin and a goal from Dean McNicholas. A further point from Ciarian Daly gave Tyrrellspass a three point lead after 44 minutes. Tyrrellspass lost Dean McNicholas mid way through the half with a hand injury and he was replaced by Philip Sheridan. Mullingar fought their way back into the game and after a period of dominance they took the lead again in the 50 minute. Points from Aaron O'Brien, Darren Quinn, Philip Sheridan and Ciarian Daly kept Tyrrellspass in the game . But a goal in the 60th minute for Mullingar put 5 points between the sides to leave the final score Tyrrellspass 1-11 Mullingar 1-16. LOTTO RESULT
There was no winner of last weekend's lotto of €13,000. Numbers drawn were 1, 8, 13 and 14. The following people matched three numbers and each receive €70. Carol and Karen Bradley pro Pat Bradley, Jimmy Marshall pro Gonouds and Mark Farrell Pro Mark Farrell. Promoters prize went to Frank Cunningham. Next weeks jackpot will be €13,200.

Tyrrellspass gaa would like to send to send their sympathies to the Maher family, Rahugh on the death of Joe Maher who passed away in Australia . We would also like to send sympathies to the Lynam Family , Coola Kilbeggan on the death of Kathleen Lynam. May they rest in peace

5km Fun Run/Walk
The sun attracted a great turnout for our 5km run on Sat last with over 100 participants taking part. It was a great race with one of the fastest times run on this course. The race started with a fast pace and the leader kept it up to finish with a very impressive time of 16:44. Results: 1st man - Paddy Kelly, Mullingar. 1st Woman - Michelle Langan, Kilbeggan. 1st U16 Boy - Mark Ronan, Gaybrook. 1st U16 Girl - Jess Moloney - Castletown Geoghegan. 1st Over 65 - Jim Langan. 1st walker - Carole Leavy, Tyrrellspass.
