Ballymore GAA club notes

April 22, 2014
Division 3
Last Sunday Ballymore went to Killucan for the latest fixture in this year's Division 3 championship. On a perfect day for football Ballymore got off to a great start and played some good football. Killucan were always going to prove to be stern opposition and battled hard to stay in touch. The game turned on 3 key incidents the first two were sloppy goals given away by ballymore to give the host side the lead and the third was a injury to John Gilligan which looked bad and will keep him out for a few weeks for both club and the county. After a hard fought contest the Ballymore lads went down by 3-8 to 1-10 and will feel that this was another game that just got away from them when it mattered. With 4 of the 9 matches played in the league Ballymore sit mid table
with 2 wins and 2 defeats to their name.
