All Ireland Scór Final:
St Josephs are looking forward to next weekends All Ireland Scór final in Castlebar on Saturday 26th April. The club are represented in the Leiriu and Question time and certainly both acts are there on merit. The Leiriu (or Novelty Act) is called Tales of Tara and we are represented by Hugo Slevin,Trevor Marshal,Rachel Mc Cormack,Deirdre Robbins,Ciaran Reynolds,Thomas Pettit,Ann Meares and Catriona Mc Cormack and this is the first time for the club to be represented in this discipline at this stage. In the Quiz Dick Stokes,Aidan Walsh,Ciaran Reynolds and Johnny Hannify will represent the club. Both acts are wished the very best of luck and hopefully they can bring home All Ireland titles.
Division 5 Fixture:
St Josephs are due to play Ballycomoyle in the next round of the league on Sunday 27th April but the fixture has yet to be confirmed.
St. Joseph's Ladies L.G.F.A Notes
St. Joseph's ladies played a match on Wednesday night last (16th April) in Clonmellon where we played Delvin/St. Pauls in the 1st Round of the Junior Championship 2014. The team showed tremendous passion and determination from the start and the score at half time was 4-1 to 5 points in our favour. Our determination continued throughout the second half and St. Josephs Ladies came out on top winning the game with the final score reading: 6-3 to 11 points. The team was as follows: Bernie Watts, Edwina Scally, Annamarie McDonnell, Helen Kelly, Lauren McCormack, Catriona Lynam, Joanne Byrne, Louise Martin, Emma Reid, Ellie Conway, Aisling McCormack, Sarah Moran, Marie McDonnell, Corrina Corcoran, Maura McLoughlin and Michaela McCormack. It was a fantastic game to watch and a great start to the Championship. Well done to all involved.
