SENIOR LEAGUE
Tyrrellspass senior team suffered another defeat in the league last Sunday afternoon when they were beaten by St Lomans in lake point park. With St Lomans playing with the aid of the wind in the first half they were first to score with two points from play. Tyrrellspass responded with points from Martin Flanagan and Ben Gavin. St Lomans were a further three points in front, when in the 20m Tyrrellspass were reduced to 14 men when Dean McNicholas was sent off for a second bookable offence. Tyrrellspass did respond well and despite having plenty of the ball they could only add on a single point from a free by David Gaye. St Lomans added on two more points to leave the half time score Tyrrellspass 0-3 to St Lomans 0-7. The second half started well for Tyrrellspass with three points from frees by Martin Flanagan. Then after a good build up Ben Gavin was taken down for a penalty. David Gaye stepped up to take it and his shot was well saved by the keeper. This seemed to make St Lomans step it up a gear and they added on six points all from play to leave. Tyrrellspass did keep battling to the end and added on points from Martin Flanagan 2 and Shane Arthur but with St Lomans making the extra man count they ran out easy winners on a score line of St Lomans 0-17 to Tyrrellspass 0-9. LOTTO RESULTS

There was no winner of last weekends lotto jackpot of €10,600. Numbers drawn were 1, 11, 13 and 24. The following people matched three numbers and each receive €70. Martin Flanagan pro Eileen Flanagan, Emelda Whelehan pro Centra and Martin Maloney pro M+B Byrne. Promoters prize went to Sean Harte . Next weeks jackpot will be €10,800 and the draw will take place in the Esker Inn.

Golf Classic
