Price focused on Antrim clash

Westmeath's Eoin Price
Westmeath hurling captain Eoin Price is adamant that the players are just focused on the Leinster championship now.

Following a turbulent league campaign that saw the midlanders finished third from bottom in Division 2A and their off field problems that have seen manager Brian Hanley under a lot of pressure to retain his position, Price stressed to the Westmeath Topic that they need to focus on matters on the field.

Westmeath play Antrim in the Leinster SHC round robin in just over three weeks time and Price is confident that they can get their season back on track with a win in Ballycastle.

"They (Antrim) have a lot of strong under-21s coming through, having reached last year's All-Ireland final," said Price.

"But we did beat them in the Walsh Cup this year. They had a very young side that day, as did we, and it shows what Westmeath can achieve."
