Brian Cody at Medal Presentation
Legendary Kilkenny hurler and manager Brian Cody attended a club function last Monday in the Athlone GAA clubhouse. He was on hand to present county medals to the Under 16 team who won the Westmeath 'B' Championship last year. A huge crowd of club players, their parents, club officials, supporters and sponsors attended the well organised event. Brian presented the medals and spoke words of praise and encouragement for hurlers of all standards and interest. His motivation of players will help drive on our club to greater heights in the coming years and see the development of hurling in the Athlone area. Thanks to club chairman Tom Murphy (team manager) and his selectors Martin Geary (Chairman) Cormac Ó Sulleabháin and Tony O'Keeffe for organising the event. Also to Athlone GAA for hosting it in Pairc Chiaráin.

Thanks to Darren Magee, Ciaran Martin and James Heffernan who are delivering the course.
