New Lotto draw takes place in two weeks on Monday December 23rd in Fitzgerald’s Lounge Castledaly - with the new jackpot at  €9,400, and all are welcome to attend.

 

Congrats to Westmeath Seniors who won Round 1 of the O’Byrne Cup as they begin the defence of their title, defeating Wexford at St.Patrick’s Park, Enniscorthy.  Castledaly were ably represented by Alan Stone in midfield and Lorcan Dolan on target to add a few well-placed scores, while Jordan Nugent, Paddy Holloway, Dan Heavin are also involved.

 

Castledaly Fit Club continues Monday Wednesday Friday with ladies’ classes at 7 and gents at 8pm under the  expert guidance of Liam Lorcan and Paulette. Junior Fit Club on Tuesdays.  

 

The Walking Track is proving to be its popular self at this time of year, providing a safe and well lit environment for our growing numbers of walking warriors who brave the elements daily to enjoy their daily fitness exercise.  The track is open to all club members. 

 

Congrats again to Moate Scór na nÓg Junior Ballad group of Cara Johnston, Mia Curtain, Anna Sheerin, James Costello and Ben O Connell who qualified for the Leinster Final last Sunday with a wonderful performance in Oldcastle, Co Meath, under the guidance of Senior Scór Ballad legend Louise Heavin.  The Leinster Final is scheduled for Sunday 12th January 2pm in Tom Leddy Theatre, Drogheda, and we wish them the very best of luck.

It was a particularly busy Sunday for Anna Sheerin, who was part of the Moate Ladies Minor Semi Final winning team Sunday morning in Hogan Park Moate with Caoimhe McDonnell , Ciara Nugent, and Anna Cornally, before Anna Sheerin rushed to Oldcastle to represent on Moate Ballad group.  

 

GOAL Mile 2019 takes place at Castledaly GAA grounds on December 26th from noon to 2pm, inviting everyone to walk a mile with a smile in aid of those less well off than ourselves, both here at home and abroad where natural disasters have devastated people’s lives and robbed them of the essentials of life, food clothing and shelter.  Please support.
