Senior Championship

Crookedwood 1-10 Castlepollard 1-20. Our final game of the SHC ended in defeat after a battling performance. All in all, we had a good year, finishing second in our championship group and qualifying for our first ever Senior quarter final and winning the division 2 league. We will play in the newly formed Senior B championship in 2020. The club would like to thank all players, selectors, and the backroom team for their efforts during the year. We would like to sincerely thank Mícheal Lawler for training the lads for the last two years, in which we won the Intermediate last year and Division 2 this year and wish him the best of luck for the future.

U-14 Championship Final

St.Vincents 4-6 Clonkill 2-7. Trailing by six points, and not playing to their true potential, one could be forgiven for fearing the worst at half-time in the under 14 Division 2 championship final. However, this group of lads are made of stern stuff and produced a stirring second half display to overcome Clonkill. It was a forgettable first half for the Ringtown/Crookedwood amalgamation but early points in the second half gave the lads the belief they needed to push on. Star of the show was Adam Sullivan, who scored four goals in the last fifteen minutes to push his team eight points clear as injury time approached. Clonkill scored an injury time goal but with the resultant puck out the final whistle sounded, and joyous scenes followed for the hard-working group. Well done to all players, mentors and club officials who played a part in this win, a very important victory for both clubs going forward.
