Moate All Whites club notes

June 24, 2019

Moate U16’s completed there league campaign last Wednesday evening in Hogan Park where they played Killucan.

On a fine evening both teams served up an entertaining hour of football. Killucan started quickly scored a couple of early points. The Moate lads slowly got back into the game and went in at half time one point behind.

An early goal for Killucan at the start of the second half left them four points in front. However from there until the final whistle Moate got on top out scoring their opponents one goal and two points to one point leaving the teams level at the final whistle. Next up for the U16’ is the first round of the division one championship.

Our Under 10s hosted a blitz in Hogan Park on Saturday morning with Athlone GAA and Kinnegad/Coralstown. It was a great day for football and there were some great displays from our players. We had 21 players in total who played games against Athlone GAA and Kinnegad/Coralstown.

Thanks to all the parents for supporting us. Training continues on Tuesday at 6.45 behind the Business College..

Congratulations to our Coach Patricia Claffey on successfully completing the Level 2 Coaching Certificate, along with her enthusiasm and qualification the future is bright.
