Division 2 League.

Crookedwood 2-13 Raharney 0-12. Our first game of the year saw us taking on Raharney in Joristown on Bank Holiday Monday. After a sluggish start from both teams, as scores were hard to come by, we found our rthym and opened up a seven-point lead by half time 1-8 to 0-4, with scores coming from a range of players, including a point apiece for debutants Ciarán Bawle and Adam Bate. Raharney came more into the game in the second half and pulled our lead back to three points, with plenty of time left. However, our lads dug deep to see out the game, and a goal right at the death gave a deserved win. Well done to all, especially our three debutants, Adam, Ciaran and Feichin Óg Brennan, all three had fine games. Division 3A

Our division3 game against St.Brigids was called off due to the inclement weather.

Dinner Dance & Medal Presentation

A great night was had in the Greville Arms for our dinner dance and medal presentation. We would like to thank all who contributed to making the night what it was, especially the Greville Arms for the lovely meal and special guest Martin Fogarty, whose words of wisdom had everyone listening attentively. A big thank you also to MC on the night, Barbara Orme.

Monster Auction

We are holding an Auction in April in our GAA grounds. Anyone that would like to donate anything can contact any committee member, or if anyone would like us to auction anything for them that can also be arranged.

Westmeath GAA

Well done to the Westmeath Senior hurlers on their brilliant league final victory over Kerry. We can now look forward to Division 1 hurling for the first time in 32 years. Shane McGovern and Barry O’Mara are our representatives on the panel. Well done to all.
