Club AGM

We held our Annual General Meeting last Saturday, thanks to all who brave the weather to make it along on the night. The biggest move of the evening saw Tommy Kelly step into the role of secretary with Sean Carroll stepping away from the role after five years and his second stint in the role. Club Calendar

2019 club calendars are now on sale in Flynn’s, Mullingar Optician’s, and in the clubhouse at €10 each or two for €15. All proceeds will go towards underage football.

Club Gear

The shop will be open upstairs in the clubhouse on Friday 20th of December form 7pm to 8pm.

Merry Christmas

We would like to wish all our members and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we look forward to seeing you all again in 2019.

Senior Citizen’s

The annual senior citizen Christmas party took place on Sunday 9th of December. It was a wonderful day and enjoyed by all who attended. The committee would like to thank all who helped on the day and throughout the year. Special thanks to those who donated gifts and spot prizes. Finally, a big thanks to David Smyth catering for the fabulous food and to Declan Feerey for the great music.

2020 All Ireland Fleadh 

Well done to Joe Connaire and the Westmeath bid committee on their recent success in attempting to host the Fleadh in 2020. Best of luck in the All Ireland decision next March form all at The Downs GAA.
