Scór na nÓg

Congratulations to Jemma Seery who progressed to the Leinster final following a brilliant performance in the solo-singing competition last Saturday afternoon in Oldcastle. Jemma was in familiar territory as her Mam, Gabrielle, hails from just outside the Co. Meath town. Jemma, along with all the other Westmeath acts,  were successful on the day to qualify for the Leinster final in January. It’s a fine reward for all the hard work going into Scór at both club and Westmeath Scór committee level. Well done to all!

Table Quiz

We had a great night at our annual table quiz in Wallace’s last Friday night. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported. Our thanks also to quizmaster, Sean Delaney, for yet another challenging but fun night out. A sincere thanks also to Paul Fox in Wallace’s for sponsoring prizes for our winners and runners up.

Lilliput Gaels AGM

Our juvenile club AGM takes place on Thursday, 13th December in Castletown Geoghegan clubhouse at 8pm. It's very important that all parents, mentors and those who take an interest in the youth development of our club attend this meeting.

Sympathy

The club extends it's deepest sympathy to the O’Brien Family, Ballykilroe on the death of Eithne Lyons (nee O’Brien), Carrickboy, Co. Longford. May she Rest in Peace.

All Ireland Club Final

Hard luck to Fiona Claffey and her Foxrock/Cabinteely teammates following their defeat to Mourneabbey in the All Ireland senior club final on Saturday evening. Fiona had a great game and scored a wonderful goal however it wasn't to be as their Cork opponents held on to win 1-13 to 1-07.
