The Downs Ladies
Our Ladies produced a fine display of football to make it 3 wins from 3 in this year's SFC over coming and very committed St. Mary's side. This win was a small piece of history for our young club as it confirms our Ladies team have secured promotion to Group 1 of next year's Senior Championship. The Ladies game continues to grow and develop and it's great to see our own Club footballers gaining promotion in their first year at this level. Anyone who has attended this year's matches will confirm that these championship games are tough physical contests with no shortage of footballing ability on show. The Club would like to thank everyone for their support to date - we have a young team and it's great for them to see & hear a supportive crowd at these fixtures.
Hard luck to our u16 ladies who lost out to Kinnegad. The girls put in a solid team performance with some great team work and excellent scores.
The U14 girls kept their winning momentum going with a well earned win away to Miltown l ast week and expect to be out in the semi final this weekend .
