Westmeath's 2004 Leinster SFC winning captain David O'Shaughnessy was a special guest on this week's We Are Westmeath podcast.

O'Shaughnessy spoke of the pride of captaining his county to Leinster glory after years of hurt and how the lessons learned from the first game carried his side over the line in the decider.

The Garrycastle native recalled his club's impressive run in the 2012 championship, with Anthony Cunningham's charges suffering final heartbreak at the hands of Crossmaglen Rangers.

Four-time All-Ireland final referee Barry Kelly also spoke of his experiences refereeing hurling deciders and looked ahead to this weekend's All-Ireland final.

Presented by Conor McKenna, We Are Westmeath has really received the backing of the GAA contingent in the county, with high-profile names across Gaelic Football, Hurling, Ladies Football and Camogie all appearing at various stages.
