June 18, 2018Intermediate Championship
The 2018 IHC kicks off on Tuesday evening as we take on Southern Gaels in Cusack park with a throw-in time of 7:45. All support would be greatly appreciated for the boys and their management team.
Westmeath GAA
Hard luck to the Westmeath minor hurling panel and management as they exited the Leinster championship after a defeat to Kilkenny. Feichin Brennan on the team, and Antointette Savage and Feichin senior represented our club. Well done to the Westmeath camogie team on their comprehensive victory over Kildare in their first ever Intermediate championship game. Crookedwood players Muireann and Roisín Scally are on the panel.
Retirement function.
A presentation and nights celebration will take place for Anne Gaffney with her family, friends, colleagues and past pupils are all welcome to attend on June 21st in Loughegar National school. The line up on the day is as follows; it all kicks off at 7.30pm, followed by speeches, a presentation, photos, refreshments, and entertainment later.
Supermac's Kit for Clubs
It's our turn in the Supermac's Kits for Clubs promotion. What this means is that anytime you buy any meal in Supermac's/Papa John's(Mullingar) over the next few weeks just ask for a token and put it in the Crookedwood Hurling Club box. When we reach 500 tokens, Supermac's will kindly give us some gear for our young lads. We would like to thank Supermacs for this opportunity.
Walking Track
The walking track lights are on every night if anyone wants to avail of a safe, clean area for a bit of exercise. Please note anyone wishing to avail of our facilities must have membership paid.
Lotto: Latest results; 3/6/18, Jackpot €3850. Numbers drawn: 2, 8, 10, 11. No winner; €20 winners, Betty Orme, Edel Heffernan, Cathal Brennan. We are asking all members to support our lotto.The lotto draw is the financial lifeline of our club and we appreciate all support. Tickets can be bought in The Wood or from any committee member, alternatively annual tickets can be purchased for €100.
