Féile na nÓg

On Saturday morning last, the quest to remain Westmeath Féile Champions began in Kinnegad with the group stages. Strong wins in all group stage matches guaranteed us a place in the quarter final that evening at 6pm against Tyrellspass. Hard work, great skill and team work really portrayed as this ambitious u14 team came out strong winners and booked a placed in the semi-final the next day (Sunday) against Kilbeggan/St Josephs. The semi-final proved to be tough game but much credit is to be given to the boys who worked very hard and many words of encouragement from their coaches on the side-line won us a place in the final on the score line of 3-05 to 1-0.

Team for the weekend: Brian Cooney, Jason Macken, John Kiernan, Stephen McNevin, Liam Daly, Eamon Leech, Jack Quinn, Colin Kiernan, Eoin Kelly, Dillon O Shaughnessy, Eimhinn Whelan, Rory Cole, Divine Izekor, Alexandre Ajeigbe, Donnacha Fleming, Thomas Davis, Tiernan Carthy, Scott Clynes, Eoin Mulligan, Andrew Glennon, Callum Lynch, Thyge McGarry, Cian McMahon, Alex Moore, Ali Abourezk, Abdul Abourezk, Cian Wilson, Jamie Yallop.
