St Pauls Clonmellon notes

Club Lotto

Please support our Club Lotto as this supports the day to day costs of running the club. Club lotto envelopes can be got from any of the local shops and pubs, at Bingo on Monday nights or from any of the committee members. The Lotto draw takes place every Monday night during bingo in the local Community Centre. The Cost is just €2 a ticket. Currently the Jackpot stands at €2,690. There was no winner of last weeks jackpot where the winning numbers were 5,10,20 and 21. 20 euro winners on the night were B Halpin, Aine Leonard and Ciaran Leonard - well done to all

Club membership

A new year means membership is now due to be paid. Membership for the club for 2018 is as follows and can be paid to any committee member or any of the juvenile coaches. Membership for Juvenile & student is 20 euro. Adult 40 euro. Family 75 euro. OAP 25 euro. Walking track use only 25 euro.  Thanks to all who showed up for our Registration last Saturday. It was great to see a bit of a buzz around the club grounds after the long quiet winter.

Last man Standing Competition

Best of luck to those still remaining in our last man standing competition, we are down to just 8 people still in with a chance to win it so make sure you get your picks in before the next round matches.

Juvenile details

Our indoor nursery for junior infant boys is proving to be a great hit with good numbers attending each week. It continues each Friday evening in the Clonmellon Community Centre from 7-7:45pm.

Training for our U-14's, 16's and Minors is now well under way. Texts will be sent out each week with details. If you are not getting these texts please contact our secretary Marie on 0860530539 or message our facebook page and we will rectify the problem. Our U-16 game versus Multyfarnham that was to be played on Sunday morning last was unfortunetly posponed due to the weather.

U-8 up to U-12 training will be starting over the next few weeks. Keep an eye on our facebook page for details.

St. Pauls GFC Clonmellon Easter Camp

Weather permitting we will be running our very popular Easter Camp again this year. It will be held on Tuesday & Wednesdays March 27th & 28th and April 3rd & 4th at the club grounds in Clonmellon from 10am-12 noon. The cost is 2 euro per child per day or 5 euro for a family of 3 or more. Please bring a snack on each day and please dress appropriately for the weather conditions!

Another win for our Junior Footballers

Well done to our junior footballers who recorded a 2-07 to 0-11 win against Offaly side St. Bridgets Croughan in a challenge game on Friday evening last. Thanks to the St. Bridget's lads for having us down for a good sporting game of football.

Get out your old St. Pauls photos!

Those of you who are familiar with our facebook page will have noticed our throwback Thursday series which we are running where each Thursday we post old photos of various St. Pauls players & teams from over the years. These photos are great to see and they are proving quite popular with our Facebook viewers but we need more photos to keep it going so please contact Barry on 087-6965313 if you would like to help us out. Any photos we receive with be copied and returned to the owner straight away.

Gaelic for Mothers and Others

Best of luck to the St. Pauls-Delvin LGFA club who are setting up a Gaelic for Mothers and Others team for the year ahead. This a great initiative and sounds like great fun so why not jump on board. Please see their Facebook page for more details.

Congratulations

A big (and regretfully somewhat belated) St. Paul's shout out to one of our committee members Feichin McCormack and his wife Sharon McCormack on the birth of their baby boy Finn. We are looking forward to seeing Feichin and young Finn turning up at U-6 training (all decked out in their Meath tops no doubt!) in early 2023!  Congratulations also to Brownstown Camogie Secretary Catriona O'Neill and her husband Corrie on the birth of their baby girl Aoife last week. No pressure guys but we fully expect Aoife to be gracing the Camogie & Gaelic Football fields of Brownstown and St. Pauls in a few years time!!!!
