Kilbeggan Shamrocks GAA Notes

Minors defeat Killucan

Our minors overcame Killucan by 5-7 to 4-8 in difficult conditions at St James' Park last Sunday morning.

Aidan Stone, Conor Carroll, Brian Keegan, Niall Carey and goalkeeper Diarmuid Egan were among those to impress while Ros Elliffe chipped in with two goals as we held off a late comeback from the visitors. Having received a walkover from Inny Shamrocks in the first round, we now have four points from four in Division 3 of the minor league. Well done lads.

Team: Diarmuid Egan, Martin Ward, Declan Rogers, Conor Carroll, Aidan Stone, Dean Slevin, Darragh Coffey (captain), James Hanlon, Niall Carey, Brian Keegan, Danny Scully, Cathal Finn, Ros Elliffe. Subs: Michael Murphy and Mark Wrafter.

Scor

Best wishes to our Ballad Group comprising Lee Marshall, Saoirse Fleming, Fiona Fennell, Edwina Maloney and Neil Moran in their quest to win a county Scor Sinsear title in The Downs next Saturday night. All support for the quintet would be greatly appreciated.

Lotto

Last week's lucky numbers were 2, 3, 10 and 13. John Whelan and Geraldine Fennell were the Match 3 winners. This week's draw takes place in Larrigy's when the jackpot will be €13,150. Tickets, costing just €2, are available in local shops or from any club member. Thank you for your continued support.

Boxing champion

Congratulations to Cathal Jack Maher on winning his fourth Leinster boxing title which puts him through to the All-Ireland finals in three weeks' time. Cathal Jack's boxing commitments meant he missed last Sunday's minor league win over Killucan, but no doubt we'll see him back in football action soon.
