Colm O'Rourke was magnanimous in defeat after his Simonstown side lost out to St Loman's in yesterday's Leinster Club SFC semi-final at Cusack Park.

O'Rourke's charges raced into a seven point lead (1-4 to 0-0) after 15 minutes but ran out of steam in the second-half and finished on the wrong end of the 0-13 to 1-8 scoreline.

"We could have been more up, because I thought we were in complete control at one time," the Meath great remarked to The Irish Independent.

"We missed a lot at the end of the first half, poor shot selection, and Loman's got back into it.

"Fair play, we have no complaints."
