U21
Our U21 Team Clan na Gael were well beaten by a stronger Clonkill outfit in the U21 Championship Semi-Final on Saturday 4th Nov in Cusack Park on a scoreline of Clan naGael 1-06 Clonkill 4-12. On a wet and cold Saturday afternoon, conditions were never going to allow for a great game of hurling. What followed in the first half was a very scrappy stop start performance from the Clan na Gael Team as they struggled to adapt to the conditions and the pace of the match. Clonkill raced into a 0-04 point lead before John McCarthy regigered Clan na Gaels first score from a free.  Clonkill hit back instantly with 1-01 and then on 17mins were awarded a penalty with Clan na Gael corner back Darren Dugdale deemed to have pulled down Clonkill corner forward as he was almost certain to score Clonkill's second goal.  The resultant penalty was smashed to the Clan na Gael net .  Warren Casserley score Clan na Gael's second point before Clonkill added a further 0-03 before half time.  Halftime score was Clan na Gael 0-02 Clonkill 2-08.     The Clan na Gael supporters feared the worst but were hoping for a better showing in the second half. They were briefly given a shadow of hope when inside the first five minutes of the restart Clan na Gael scored 1-01, the goal scored by John McCarthy and Warren Casserly 0-01.  This mini revival was short lived however with Clonkill fowards cutting loose in the second half and went on to score a further 2-07 to Clan na Gaels 0-3.

AGM
Our Club AGM is fixed for Saturday 25th November at 7:30pm in the Parish Centre, Church St.  All Members, Players, Mentors and anyone interested in getting involved with Castlepollard Hurling Club for 2018 are invited to attend.

Bingo 
Our weekly Bingo continues every Sunday night at 8.30pm in the Hurling Complex.  There was no winner of the Main Jackpot of  €15,000 last Sunday night.  Our 2nd Jackpot now also stands at €15,000.

Lotto Draw
Our next Lotto draw will take place at the Bingo on Sunday 19th Nov 2017.  New Jackpot will be €15,000.
