The late Willie Walsh
With feelings of great regret and sadness we write on the passing of Wille Walsh, Kilgobbin Road, Sandyford, Dublin and formerly of Coolnagour, Dungarvan which took place at St. Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin after an illness that was borne bravely and with true Christian fortitude.
A native of Coolnagour and aged 66 years, Wille was son of the late Michael F. and Abina Walsh. Predeceased by his brother Jim, Willie was educated at Glenbeg N.S. and the local CBS.
He was qualified electrician who emigrated to London where he was employed as chief electrician at Hammersmith Hospital for many years. When he returned to Ireland in the 1980s he established his own electrical business in Dublin. He was also deeply interested in beekeeping and was an avid radio listener. Coming form a well known GAA background, he did stewarding in Croke Park for all the big matches.
A quiet unassuming person who had a deep religious faith, Willie was no stranger in Church and always attended to his duties with fervour and devotion.
The heartfelt sympathy of all goes to his relatives and friends particularly his sisters Margaret, Joan, Ina and Mary; his brothers Ned, Michael, Pat, John and Tim; sisters-in-law Peggy, Lena, Clarie and Anna; brothers-in-law John Stapelton, Tony Sheehan and Noel Magee, as well as a wide circle of other relatives and including nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
