The late Frank Darcy The death took place in Bray of Mr Frank Darcy, a native of Passage East, where he lived until his late teens. The late Frank worked for many years at Bray Post Office and also in the GPO. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Breda, and is survived by sons, John, Martin, Frank and daughter, Claire; brother, Tom and sister, Mary, a member of the Mercy Convent Order of Nuns. Frank played hurling with the Passage team that was in existence for a short period in the late forties and he then went on to give a life long service to the GAA in Wicklow and in particular to his club, Bray Emmets, with whom he won a county senior hurling title in 1952, playing in goal. He also served as treasurer of the club and was also a chairman of the North Wicklow Board, as well as a county minor selector. His funeral took place in Bray and a number of Passage residents travelled to pay their respects. Sympathy is extended to his sons, daughter, brother, sister and all other relatives from the many in Passage area that remember the Darcy family with affection.
