Joe Farrell, De La Salle
The death occurred of one of our former players and mentor, Joe Farrell.
Joe was a member of our junior hurling team that was the first adult team from the club to win a county title in 1954.
He won a junior football medal in 1956 and a senior football medal in 1958. He also played junior hurling in goal for Waterford. His grandson, Adam, is one of our rising young juvenile stars.
We extend our sympathy to Joe's wife, May, and the Farrell family. Ar dheis De go raibh se.
